I searched for God and I found him as me Pt.3

This project was based on the protest carried out by the Irish Women's Liberation Movement in 1971. It was known as 'The Contraception Train'. Irish Women travelled to Belfast, purchased contraceptives and illegal brought them to Dublin by train. It was an act of protest and they were stopped by customs at the train station. I took snapshots from a video of the event I found and printed them onto fabric using a citrus printing technique. I added gold leaf to the prints as a symbol of power and importance in religious art to elevate and recognise these women and their protest. This project was exhibited in VRJIDAG, Walstraat, Groningen, The Netherlands. The exhibitions was part of MayDays exhibitions for all 3rd year Minerva Students.
